Uyo Book Club gets special invitation to collaborate with Ibom Art & Book Festival, 2022

Uyo Book Club has been officially invited to collaborate as a major player and partner in the fast-approaching Ibom International Art & Book Festival, 2022. The festival is billed to hold between 28th – 30th July, 2022 at selected locations in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

According to the letter of invitation sent to the club and signed by the festival’s director, Kate Ekanem-Hannum, ‘the Ibom International Art & Book Festival recognises Uyo Book Club’s effort in promoting reading culture across Akwa Ibom and helping shape the often underrepresented creative identities of the state’.

The festival’s dossier among other things is expected to promote important dialogue through panel discussions, book chats, art exhibition, documentaries, poetry, open slam performances, and targeted to draw both national and international attendance and coverage.

Consequently, founder of Uyo Book Club, Dr. Udeme Nana has urged members of the club to brace up to be part of the festival as the book club continues to expand the frontiers of its reading awareness advocacy.
