The Akwa Ibom State social reading circuit started on Saturday, 13th January with a session at Abak Book Club. The Coordinator, Mary Jonas presented a review of Atomic Habits by James Clear.
On Saturday, 20th January, Raffia City Book Club will host Ekaette Umoh, Director General of Ibom Leadership Entrepreneurship Development Center, who will review her book “Those Teenage Years” with students of Independence High School, Ukana in attendance.
Raffia City Book Club meets at Esu Center on the third Saturday of every month. On the last Saturday of the month, Uyo Book Club will round off the reading tour for January. Reading enthusiasts and Members are encouraged to attend with their friends.
Meanwhile, several new Members have swelled up the ranks of Eket Book Club. They include renowned Communicologist, Professor Des Wilson, Mr. Ekom Henry Itauma of AllRange Bookshop, Lagos, Mr. Samuel Assamudo and Imo Ukod of Ekid Historical Society.
